When I first started this project I didn’t know what to choose for my themes.  I started to think about the things that help me relax and keep me at piece. The sky was one theme I choose, because I love to look in the sky and free my mind.
I picked this theme because its my mother and she gives me inspiration to keep moving forward and stay successful.I picked this theme because I like the sport of baseball.

sketches- I am not good at drawing but I did try

progress

I took the sky and family theme and my mission was to put family and friends faces in the sky. The only part of the family and friends I wanted was just their faces and spread them out within the sky. I also wanted to have a little fade in the faces so that it will look as if they are in the clouds.

In this photo I’m just adding more faces and trying to see where I want to put them at. I used the lasso tool to get the faces and then I used the brush tool put it to clear to erase the excess edges.

In this photo I split up the clouds into the four corners by duplicating the background layer and then rotating the sky into the different corners. I also put my family on the left and the friends on the right. I then put a yellow shine coming from the background using the gradient tool. I wanted to make it look like the sun was shinning on them. The last thing I did was use the text tool and put the word love in the middle; which sums up what they mean to me.

In this photo I changed the love into a different color and I also added another text at the bottom that says family = strength.

final

This was the final piece. I changed the front style on the love and the bottom text so that it could be more readable to the viewers. I also got the lines that were showing in the previous picture with the clouds out by using the brush tool and putting it on clear. After that I expanded the picture by going to canvas size so that there is more space on the right side. I then used the clone tool so that I could clone the cloud so that it would spread more to the right side. As finishing touches I messed with the levels so that they could look brighter, and I put on stroke on the whole picture after I flatten the image.
